Private Equity Workshop with Mutares

How does a leading European turnaround investor assess an investment opportunity? How are companies with negative earnings valued? How is daily work life like as an investment professional? In this interactive in-house workshop at the Mutares office, you will take on the position of an investment manager and work on the assessment of a potential real-life deal. Successful participants might qualify for a full-time internship at Mutares. After the workshop, you will get the chance to meet our investment team in a relaxed environment.

Your profile

  • Next to your business, engineering or natural science studies you show great interest in private equity, capital markets and corporate valuation
  • Ideally, you have gained relevant internship experience in e.g. Investment Banking, Corporate Finance at a Big4 company or a PE/VC
  • You are fluent in spoken and written German as well as English and have advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Private Equity Workshop with Armira Partners

How does a professional investor evaluate a potential Private Equity deal? What issues are most relevant for assessing an industry and a business model and how much is the company worth? In this Case Study workshop you will assume the role of an investment manager and analyze a potential deal in order to present it to the investment committee and give an investment recommendation. In doing so, you will get insight into the daily business of a private equity investor and you will also get a good preparation for a typical case interview for private equity positions. During this presentation a recruiter and trader will provide you with information about our core-business and what a day in the life of a trader is like. You will also learn about our company culture, cutting edge technology and how you can become a trader yourself! We will play a trading game. The trading game is an exciting opportunity to compete with your fellow students and see if you may have what it takes to become a trader. Your mathematical and analytical skills will be put to the test. There will be one winner and a prize up for grabs!
