Gerd Henning Beck has been Portfolio Manager at the Lupus alpha Talent-Hotel since 2006 and is responsible for the Lupus alpha Commodity Opportunities Fund. After starting his carreer with BHF Bank in Frankfurt am Main he changed to BayernLB in 1997 as a Senior Trader, taking over the position of the Head of European Equity Proprietary Trading. Afterwards he lead Equity Derivatives Trading at the BayernLB headquarters. From 2004 to 2005 he worked for WestLB International SA Luxembourg as Senior Proprietary Trader Capital Markets. 2005 was the year he decided to become a freelance trader in commodities.
