Women in Finance x Level20: Introduction to Private Equity

Private equity sounds exciting, but what does the day-to-day work actually look like? In this 90-minute session, female private equity investors will provide first-hand insights into the industry and explain why this career path is so attractive, especially for bachelor’s and master’s students interested in finance, entrepreneurship, and strategy. The session will cover the fundamentals of private equity, including how funds operate, invest, and support the growth of companies. It will also provide a closer look at the day-to-day work within an investment team, from sourcing opportunities and conducting market and company analyses to preparing investment decisions. In addition, speakers will share insights into the skills required, what makes the work particularly engaging, and why many top graduates choose careers in private equity.
